Presenting a vibrant outdoor enrichment experience, Les Mains Vertes – or green hands – gardening club sessions are bilingual; delivered in both French and English. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged!

Did you know children on average spend less than 5 hours playing outside per week? That’s approximately half as much as their parents generation. Its been found that 3/4 of the UK’s children spend less time outside than prison inmates. Experts emphasize the essential role of active play in children’s development, and multiple studies have found that time spent in nature improves mental health, cognitive function, and overall wellbeing – not to mention the physical benefits!

Your children can look forward to a variety of creative activities, stories and songs, as well as get the chance to garden, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Each week we will explore a different theme such as sowing and planting, pruning and weeding, harvesting, the role of pollinators, and the importance of diversity.
