Growing Space at Christ Church
- Growing Space at Christ Church is a partnership between Thomas’s School Kensington, Victoria Road Montessori and St. Mary Abbot’s Church of England School in South Kensington.

The garden, designed and installed by Edible Playgrounds, was completed on 1 April 2019 and the grand opening, attended by special guests Helen Browning, OBE and former Secretary of State for the Environment, Michael Gove, took place on 23 May 2019.
Today, groups of school children interact with the garden on a weekly basis while local residents are invited to participate in volunteer gardening sessions and workshops on weekends and during school holidays, all of which are planned and organised by our environmental coordinator, Pascale Rochefeuille. Growing Space goes one step further by providing support to our schools in the form of teacher and staff training in order to effectively incorporate the garden into KS1 and KS2 curriculum. Formerly a neglected and inaccessible patch of earth, this garden has become a green oasis in the city.
